HEART WARRIOR

Join us for a deep immersion into your heart through the medicines of sound and cacao

THE REVILLAGING PROJECT
182 Browns Road, Boneo, Vic 3939

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Sat Nov 4 Revillaging Project

Weaving ancient wisdoms with vast soundscapes to gently open hearts. This is the prayer from Aria nominated and celebrated musician/composer Dingo Spender and ceremonialist Ben Purdie. Together, they offer immersive sound ceremonies combining their teachings of Yidaki from east Arnhem, ceremonial cacao from Peru and breathwork & yoga: held in sacred and reverential space.

“It’s our deepest honour to sit with you and walk each other home”.

Join local men Dingo and Ben in an immersive sound and cacao ceremony focussed on inner connection with the community.  This collaboration between dear friends Aria Nominated Musician Dingo Spender and Ben Purdie from Vitality Whole Foods and Noutrish Balnarring, brings together deep experiences working in the arts and knowledge granted with permission from profound spiritual traditions and cultures. This combination of wisdom gained and permission granted results in a highly aligned, highly integral and powerful healing opportunity for the participant. Dingo has composed music specifically for this ceremony and will be soon sharing the recordings as a full streaming release. They believe such sacred ceremonial space, when combined with raw and powerful soundscapes and instruments., is just another beautiful way we can “walk each other home”. The event combines traditional & ancient Peruvian ceremonies serving cacao as medicine and Dingo’s extraordinary healing soundscapes.

An Insight into our Cacao Ceremony & Sound Immersion

So what happens in a heart warrior ceremony?

You might be curious about what happens if you've never been to a cacao ceremony or a sound immersion. That's totally understandable.

They're increasing opportunities to have this kind of experience, with many different styles and practitioners, and there is no standard way of doing things.

We've put together a ceremony that fits our level of ability and our passion for the cultures we've been lucky enough to have experienced and is unique to our long friendship and the backgrounds we bring together.

We intend for the community to come together and have a profound experience safely and the ability to reflect together and individually. There is so much self-learning that can occur.

Many people think that a ceremony like this is just a nice hot chocolate and some relaxing sounds- We're bringing something different to this perspective.

We view Cacao as a sacred and powerful natural medicine, packed with incredible elements and properties and backed by science regarding its effects on your physical heart. Hence the name of our offering, 'Heart Warrior '. We view sound and vibration as one of the most essential tools to create a liminal space. We support you to drop deep into your inner self with deep guided meditation and facilitate relaxation, allowing insight and emotional release. When we bring Cacao and Sound tougher, they become a superpower!

So what happens next?

We'll ask you to wear comfy clothes, bring a blanket, a journal to write insights, a water bottle and an eye pillow if you have one.

You'll be greeted at the door of the space by one of us, who will explain where you can get comfy on a mat with your blanket and make yourself a cosy little nest on the floor. The room will likely be arranged in a large circle of mats; Ben and I will be part of the circle or as close as possible.

Once we're all seated and comfortable, we'll share the deeper parts of the ceremony. We take the essential time to acknowledge and honour the country, traditional owners, and indigenous protocols that form part of the ceremony. We clarify our privilege and permission to share them.

From there, we open the ceremony, where you are guided in gentle breath practice and instruction and begin our work.

You will be guided into a meditative state while immersed in live ambient sound to create personal intentions for your ceremony. Then space is open to enjoy the Cacao traditionally - small intentional sips. This whole process takes approx 45 minutes.

From here, the sound immersion begins as you lie down, get comfortable, close your eyes and relax. You will then be guided to explore and understand yourself through imagery and visualisation. The sound and music are perfectly woven with this guided journey to take you deep into your inner imagination. This part of the sound and guided breath takes approx 45 minutes.

You will then gently become seated, and when everyone is ready, there is an opportunity to share insights and experiences. This is optional as you may feel like reflecting in quietude.

We then close the ceremony and encourage you to connect with others and slowly gather belongings.

Many people share feedback that it feels like they have been on a journey, and it can take some time to adjust to reality. We encourage you to take your time getting home and be alert when driving. The Cacao has no side effects, nor the Sound immersion, but being in a deep state of relation and reflection can be disorienting for some.
