You’re invited to join Janata Dwipa in an evening of deep breathwork practice known as Vipassana Durga
EVENT DESCRIPTION
Vipassana Durga has various manifestations in the world of wholistic health and healing.
Vipassana meditation being a common practise to develop mindfulness, insight and compassion toward one-self and others.
Durga being the name of a Goddess of the Asiatic regions who is characterised by the qualities of motherhood, protection and strength.
Vipassana Durga is a dynamic guided meditation that requires such qualities as to be safely held in a supported group environment so that you, the participant, may utilise your inner strength to free yourself of disturbing psychological, emotional, unconsious and sunbconscious influences. That may sound like a lot, because it is. the outcomes experienced through this practice are very often life changing in the most extraordinarily positive ways. I say that with conviction as one who first experienced this practice almost fortry years ago and who has been facilitating one-on-one sessions and groups, pretty-well ever since.
Related methods have been utilised by indigenous cultures for thousands of years, often referred to as Trance Therapy, Re-Birthing, Holotropic Breathing, and more recently simply as Breath-Work.
This event has been timed to coincide with the energy of the Dark Moon moving towards the New Moon on the 11th, at 10.58am AEST.
ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR
JANATA DWIPA: I have been working in the area of wholistic medicine since the 80's, running retreats, workshops, healing centres, meditation centres and martial art schools in Australia, Ireland, England and Indonesia throughout that time. For almost twenty of those years I was engaged with a Vajrayana Buddhist Sangha, consecrated in that context as a Lama and regularly visited Indonesia where many of my Guides, Teachers and Spititual Friends reside. These days I am based on the Mornington Peninsula, Australia, focusing my energies toward weekly Qishengong sessions, meditation, and related community engagements.
I've an acute appreciation for the benefits of 'looking after one-self', having nearly run myself literally out of action about twenty years ago. All these activities are aimed at you for your sake and the sake of All, in the context of our collective and overall well being, happiness and longevity.
